Traeger Wood Fired Pellet Grills
Traeger invented the original wood-fired grill over 25 years ago. Fueled by 100% pure hardwood pellets and controlled with a digital controller, means from low and slow to hot and fast grilling. With a Traeger grill, you have the freedom to fire up healthy and delicious wood-fired food every day of the week. Smoke, bake, grill, roast, braise, and barbecue your way into the hearts of those you feed. Quality hardwood fuel is pivotal in cooking rich, flavorful food outdoors. A wood pellet grill is the only barbecue that can create thick, smooth smoke that evenly circulates, enveloping every inch of food with aromatic and memorable wood-fired flavor. Fire up consistent results every time, and taste the difference.
When the grill is turned on, the auger starts to feed pellets into the firepot, and the draft induction fan feeds air into the firepot. The ignitor rod glows red, just long enough to ignite the pellets. During the first few minutes, the grill will draw around 300 watts of power. After those first few minutes, only 50 watts per are needed. This is equivalent to a standard light bulb.
The induction fan and auger operate continuously while the grill is turned on. There's a heat shield located directly above the firepot, and this helps spread the heat across the grilling surface. This heat distribution system is very effective and allows you to evenly grill or smoke any kind of food. Traeger grills are designed to circulate the smokey, hot air around inside the grill effectively eliminating the need for extra accessories such as a rotisserie. In most cases, you don't even need to turn food unless you're grilling at high temperatures or want sear lines on both sides of the meat. Enjoy food cooked perfectly even every time, with no flare-ups or hassles.
In the past, getting the temperature just right while cooking with wood was difficult. Traeger has made it all easy. The start-up process and operating temperature are controlled by an electronic circuit board. This unit regulates the temperature by controlling the fan and auger motor. In addition, there are two types of controllers, digital and manual. The digital controller allows you to select a specific temperature, and it automatically feeds pellets as needs to maintain the desired temperature. The cooking temperature is displayed on an LED display. The manual controller has three settings: smoke, medium and high.
Food coming off a Traeger grill simply tastes better. Just fire it up and you will be cooking in no time!
