Treating the water is often the most confusing aspect of owning a hot tub. American Sale recommends you use your test kit often in the beginning to determine if the water in your hot tub is balanced meaning the pH is between 7.2 and 7.8. Most sanitizers are

formulated to work more effectively in a range of 7.2 - 7.8. Whether your pH is high or low, there are treatments to adjust it. If your total alkalinity needs lowering at the same time that pH correction is needed, simply pour the appropriate amount of ProTeam Spa pH Down directly into the spa water, without dilution, and have your pump and filter turned off. If your total alkalinity is low, use ProTeam Spa Alkalinity Up product to increase it.
