Female Plug Kit Includes:

  • Female threaded cap with an air valve on top
  • PTFE pipe thread sealant

How to Use This Kit:

  1. Take a little bit of the pipe thread sealant on your finger and spread it around inside the female threaded cap.
  2. Unthread your valve off the stand pipe. (It is standard that some water will come out when you take the valve off)
  3. Thread the female threaded cap onto the stand pipe.
  4. After you've done that, use anything that can pump air. Put that pump onto the air valve and let air go into it until you see a regular flow of bubbles coming out of the bottom drain. (With a battery powered pump, it generally takes about 30 seconds. With a hand or foot pump, it's about a minute and a half)
