Shipping policy

 

American Sale offers four methods of order fulfillment to meet the needs of our customers:

  1. Shipping – Available for eligible Small Parcel items stocked in our Tinley Park Warehouse and store locations.
  2. Delivery – Offered based on product type and delivery location. Local Installation/Assembly is also available at checkout for eligible product types.
  3. Customer Pickup – Available for warehouse-stocked items; customers may choose to pick up their order from our Tinley Park Distribution Center or request pickup at another Chicagoland location.
  4. Third-Party Vendor Fulfillment – Select products listed on our website are shipped directly from third-party vendors. These items are clearly marked as “Online Only.”



Order Fulfillment

  • Orders are processed and shipped or delivered on a first-come, first-served basis, Monday through Friday. Most orders are fulfilled within five business days of placement. Please note that orders submitted after 1:00 PM (CST), on weekends, or on holidays will be processed on the next business day.

  • Orders containing multiple quantities may be shipped in separate packages.

  • In some cases, products may be stocked at one of our store locations rather than our main warehouse. These orders may require additional time for packing and shipment.

  • Please be aware that express shipping may not be available within one business day if the item is not located in our main warehouse.



Customer Pickup - Tinley Park Distribution Center

 

Our default pickup location is the Tinley Park Distribution Center. However, we are happy to accommodate pickup at any of our 8 Chicagoland locations. To request an alternate pickup location, please specify your preferred store in the Order Notes section during checkout.

Please note that your order confirmation will still list Tinley Park as the pickup location by default. Rest assured, your order will be routed to the location you specified, and the selected store will contact you once your order is ready for pickup.

For current pickup hours at the Tinley Park Distribution Center and our retail store locations, please refer to our Hours of Operation.

General Pickup Terms

  • If you choose to pick up your order at one of our store locations, we kindly ask that you do so within 72 hours of notification. Due to limited storage space and a high volume of customer pickups, orders not collected within this timeframe will be returned to our main distribution center, and pickup will need to be rescheduled.
  • Please note that if an order is not picked up within 72 hours, American Sale reserves the right to cancel the order and return the merchandise to inventory for sale.
  • restocking fee may apply to any order returned to our distribution center due to missed pickup.
  • For refunds or exchanges, all store pickup items must be returned to the original store location.

 

Shipping - FedEx & UPS

 

Small parcel items are shipped via standard carriers such as FedEx and UPS. Shipping rates displayed at checkout are calculated directly by these carriers based on the contents of your order.

Only small parcel items are eligible for any "Free Shipping" promotions currently offered. At this time, we provide free standard carrier shipping on orders of $99 or more that are being delivered to addresses within the Chicagoland area.

Eligibility for this promotion is determined by ZIP code. If you believe your ZIP code should be included in our Chicagoland delivery zone but is not currently recognized, please contact our Customer Service team for assistance.



General Small Parcel Shipping Terms

  • American Sale currently ships to addresses within the United States only. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or FPO/APO addresses.
  • For orders requiring shipment outside the 48 contiguous United States, customers are responsible for any additional shipping fees, tariffs, and import taxes that may apply.
  • If an item is ordered and cannot be shipped for any reason, the customer will be notified and the order will be canceled.
  • Shipping costs are calculated directly from the Carriers.
  • Shipping costs are calculated directly by the carrier based on the items in your order. Final shipping charges will be displayed during checkout once the required shipping information is entered. These calculations are provided without any obligation to complete a purchase.
  • Upon receiving your package(s), please inspect the contents promptly for any damage or defects. If any issues are found, contact our Customer Service team within 14 days of receipt so we can assist you with the appropriate next steps. 


Shipping Times

  • Delivery times vary based on the shipping method selected at checkout. Orders shipped via standard services such as UPS or FedEx typically arrive within 3–5 business days from the date of shipment.
  • For shipments sent via UPS SurePost or FedEx SmartPost, delivery may take 7–14 business days.
  • If you have not received your order within the expected timeframe, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible. Please note that if we do not hear from you within 30 days of the expected delivery date, the order will be considered complete, and we will be unable to issue refunds or reshipments

 

Delivery - American Sale Delivery & Freight

 

Oversized, bulky or heavy items - including but not limited to patio sets, grills, trampolines and gazebos - are delivered via American Sale Delivery or Third-party Freight Carrier, depending on the delivery location.

Orders outside the American Sale Delivery zone will be shipped via a third-party freight carrier. Eligibility for American Sale Delivery is determined by ZIP code at checkout. If you believe your ZIP code should be included in our delivery zone but is not recognized, please contact our Customer Service team for verification.

We are currently offering free American Sale Delivery on qualifying orders of $500 or more within the Chicagoland area. If your order qualifies and you select American Sale Delivery, our team will reach out to schedule a delivery date. Depending on the product, White Glove Delivery and Installation Services are also available for an additional fee.

For orders shipped via freight, delivery will be scheduled based on the earliest available date provided by the carrier. Your contact information will be shared with the carrier so they can coordinate delivery directly with you.



Online Only Items & Third-Party Fulfillment

 

Products marked as “Online Only” on the American Sale website are fulfilled and shipped directly by third-party vendors. These orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days of order placement and shipped via standard UPS or FedEx services.

Please note that, on occasion, third-party vendors may cancel an order due to availability or other fulfillment issues. If this occurs, you will be notified.

If you experience any issues with a third-party order, please contact our Customer Service team. We will work directly with the vendor to help resolve the matter. However, American Sale is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen merchandise shipped by third-party vendors.
