This iconic Chicagoland family-owned and operated business is looking for a driven and passionate professional to raise the bar and join our Human Resources department as a Director of People Service located at the Corporate Office in Tinley Park, IL. This position leverages deep HR expertise to effectively consult on a broad range of priorities, including workforce strategy, organization effectiveness and associate experience. Collaborates with company business leaders to deliver talent strategies that attract, reward, develop and retain our greatest asset - our people. Assumes a leadership role in developing a positive company culture that drives engagement and business results. A true generalist - both strategic and transactional - and a critical partner to business leadership.
What You'll Do...
• Lead talent initiatives for teams that support business objectives to drive results
• Collaborate with leadership to develop, lead, and maintain human resources-related processes and metrics that effectively address associate needs
• Provide expertise and guidance on issues involving employee relations, compliance, safety, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and workers’ compensation in partnership with managers to maintain consistency, reinforce a culture of well-being, and ensure actions are compliant with pertinent HR-related laws and regulations
• Lead the development and maintenance of a talent strategy and performance-based culture for teams by communicating, teaching, influencing, and supporting the execution of consistent processes and routines around performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, and recognition
• Lead comprehensive change management strategies to guide teams from current to future state, anticipating challenges and recommending solutions for complex problems
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders; coaches, inspires, influences, and helps build leaders’ capabilities
• Stay informed of external trends within the industry that may have application internally
What You'll Bring...
• 8+ years of progressive work experience with demonstrated proficiency in all functional areas of HR
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree and/or professional certification preferred
• Progressive Human Resources management experience and passion for a customer service driven business
• Ability to view the business broadly and connect business and human resources goals to help drive best-in-class associate experiences
• Ability to be an agent of change to influence teams to shift quickly as our business evolves
• Ability to take initiative, work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize as needed, and act with urgency, agility, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to adapt style appropriately to ensure effective delivery to associates at all levels
• Knowledge of relevant human resources-related laws and regulations and the ability to conduct or assist with investigations maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information

Salary: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
